Greetings, I am Gong Yoon-sik, CEO of POSCO PS-TECH.
We are a dedicated mechanical maintenance subsidiary of POSCO, created in the wake of Typhoon Hinnam in September 2022. Recognizing the heightened need for advanced maintenance technology and systematic operations, we launching as a specialized maintenance arm of POSCO on June 1, 2023.
We unveiled our strategic vision on July 19, 2023: "Best Maintenance with Safety and Technology." This vision is a united effort from all our employees, embodying our steadfast commitment to safety and technological excellence, with an ambition to evolve into the industry’s premier specialized maintenance firm.
To realize this vision, there are four key strategic directions POSCO PS-TECH will steadfastly pursue.
First, under the banner of "Safety First," we are committed to establishing field-centric safety initiatives that enable all employees to operate in a secure and pleasant work environment. We will tirelessly update our rules and processes to foster a workplace that is not just safe but also fulfilling.
Second, for capability enhancement, we will actively tap into POSCO’s educational infrastructure to offer various professional training programs. Our focus will extend to implementing technical certification schemes and job skill development programs, elevating our technical acumen in maintenance services to unparalleled levels.
Third, we will transcend mere repair services to diversify our offerings to POSCO group’s all affiliates and other domestic corporations. Our strategy is to expand into new growth industries, offer technical and personnel support for POSCO's international ventures, and deliver unparalleled solutions for equipment malfunctions.
Fourth, as a pillar of the POSCO Group, we will nurture our corporate citizenship ethos by contributing meaningfully to the local community. This includes creating premium job opportunities, recruiting talented individuals, engaging in various social contribution activities, and achieving a symbiotic and prosperous relationship with the community.
In essence, POSCO PS-TECH is not merely a conglomeration of maintenance partners; we are a strategic entity committed to evolving with POSCO. We will endeavor to broaden our scope through technological advances, ensuring the safety and well-being of our workforce while embodying values of community coexistence and shared prosperity.
